The first thing we noticed was a medium to hard feel, but pleasant from the first exchanges. It does not transmit a soft or gummy sensation, but rather a quite clean contact with the ball, one of those where we can feel well what is happening with each hit. The ball exit felt sufficient and better than we expected from a control-oriented paddle. Right there, we clearly saw that it was not a simple passive round paddle.
The low balance helps a lot to understand its behavior. Although the weight ranges between 360 and 375 grams and does not fall into the category of especially light paddles, it moves well in hand and does not feel clumsy. The 100% carbon frame along with the EOS tunnel is noticeable in that overall maneuverability, especially when we need to quickly reposition the paddle head. Overall, the initial feeling is of a solid, stable tool that is quite easy to interpret on the court.
With its low balance and round shape, this version moves very well when we need to build from the back. In defense, we found it to be a very reliable paddle, one of those where we can feel the ball quite well and direct it with intention. In aerial play, we found it quite comfortable to maneuver in tray, vibora, and roll shots. The response on volleys is correct and precise, with a clear feeling that we can place the ball with intention rather than simply blocking it. The rough surface fits well with that type of technical shots and helps the cut touch have more resources when we seek to vary heights or directions. It is a paddle that allows us to play with criteria at the net.
If we are looking for a control volley or a well-directed vibora, the paddle supports very well. Where it sets a clearer limit is in pure power shots, as we do not feel it as aggressive as other models more oriented towards direct power. Still, it responds well and maintains a very coherent line with its character: versatile, precise, and more technical than brute. The MLD Black EVA rubber, the same base we see in several paddles from the AT10 family and also in the EA10, goes very much in that direction.
In the smash, it left us with a clear impression: for a control paddle, it has very good ball exit. When we look for a smash with spin, it comes out well, and the rough surface adds to that more technical shot where we want the ball to bite a little more. We wouldn’t place it in the group of paddles designed to live off the definitive shot, but rather in the group of models that allow for offensive play with solid arguments. If we set up the gesture well, it responds confidently forward.

It has a lot of control to direct the ball with precision, but it does not fall short when we want to accelerate or be aggressive in attack.
