The Bullpadel Vertex 05 Hybrid 2026 has left us with the feeling of being in front of an advanced and very versatile racket from the very first rally, one that combines power and control without becoming unpredictable. It is a hybrid model with a large sweet spot, capable of generating serious power without the ball slipping away from us when we apply pressure. We see it as very focused on technical players who want real performance and a clean response in every phase of the point. It quickly becomes apparent that there are high-level materials and technologies, and that translates into quite pure sensations on the court from the first hit.
The technical foundation of this version is very well built: Carbon Tube in the frame, Xtend Carbon 12K on the faces, and a MultiEVA double-density core that gives it that recognizable medium feel. In hand, it feels neither excessively dry nor soft, but rather at a very usable midpoint, with a lively ball exit that adapts well to both soft shots and more abrupt accelerations. That combination makes the racket respond with energy while maintaining a fairly clear sense of control. For us, that is one of its best virtues.
What is most noticeable when starting to play is that we are dealing with a very powerful hybrid with a huge sweet spot for its category. The ball comes off with joy, always with room to control it, making the model comfortable both from the back and when we step in to take charge. The medium feel of the MultiEVA is pleasant in both defense and attack, something that doesn’t always happen in advanced-focused rackets. Additionally, the Hesacore grip system provides a very secure hold and significantly reduces vibrations, so the feel in hand is particularly good.
Defending from the back, this Bullpadel has seemed to us to be a racket with excellent control and a very natural reading of the shot. It does not force you to play fast or to constantly force your hand, which is appreciated when the opponent puts pressure on us and we need to rebuild the point with patience. The sweet spot, very wide for its segment, helps a lot to maintain rhythm even when we don’t hit completely clean. There, it is noticeable that the ball exit is lively, but still manageable.
In long rallies, it moves better than one might expect given its advanced design. We find it light and easy to maneuver in defense, with a very smooth defense-to-attack transition and a response that allows for quick reactions in uncomfortable situations. The medium-high balance gives it an extra presence in the shot, but without making it clumsy when it comes to blocking or playing a more challenging ball. However, compared to pure control rackets, it requires a bit more technique to bring out its best version.
The rough Top Spin finish makes real sense when we move to the net. In volleys and blocks, we find an agile response, with a solid touch and a ball that comes off tight when we put our hand in decisively. In trays and viboras, that extra grip is most noticeable, as the surface bites the ball well and allows us to play with more spin and depth. At high speed, it combines power and spin quite naturally, which is very useful for dominating exchanges close to the net.
We also liked the overall stability of the set in long points. The frame feels firm on demanding shots, and the vibration absorption helps prevent the forearm from getting fatigued too soon, something that the Hesacore adds to in terms of comfort and grip security. In quick exchanges, it responds well and conveys confidence in moments of pressure. It is not just a racket for hitting hard up top; it also seems to us to be a serious option for those who want to control the net with speed and precision.
When it comes to closing the point, this version works very well even without requiring perfect technique. The design and length of the handle facilitate the lever effect, making the finish come off more naturally from different positions. The Xtend Carbon 12K on the faces adds an extra boost of power that is noticeable both in flat finishes and in serves to the side, while the medium-high balance provides stability so that the hit does not fall apart. If we aim to lift, the rough surface helps the ball grip better and rise more after the bounce. It does not turn the shot into a winner by itself, but it does add that extra that is noticeable when we seek more venom up top.
The overall balance of this Bullpadel comes from a fairly clear formula: medium-high balance, carbon in key areas, and a MultiEVA core that prevents everything from becoming pure rigidity. It is a very powerful racket for being hybrid, especially when we accelerate in finishes and serves, but it maintains superior control from the back and good stability on demanding shots. The ball exit has spark, although it does not become nervous, and that gives it that versatile character that allows it to perform well in both defense and attack. Additionally, the vibration absorption improves precision and makes it more comfortable to repeat shots at high intensity.
Here we have one of its most attractive features: a very wide sweet spot for its category. Forgiving off-center hits in a racket of this level makes a difference, and this Vertex 05 Hybrid 2026 has allowed us to maintain the rhythm with quite a margin even when we do not hit the ball perfectly.
In real play, one of the most pleasant surprises has been its handling. In defense, it feels light and easy to move, with outstanding maneuverability that helps react quickly and link long points without a constant feeling of fighting with the racket. The Hesacore grip provides a very comfortable and secure hold, and the sense of control in hand has seemed superior to the average within the high range. Additionally, the reduction of vibrations is genuinely noticeable and helps avoid premature fatigue in the forearm.
Its official retail price is €339.99, although at the time of writing this review, we found it for €251.59 in specialized stores. By price, it falls between the advanced and professional/top range, and with materials like Xtend Carbon 12K, Carbon Tube, MultiEVA, rough surface, and Hesacore, it fits well in that range; moreover, as is often the case in padel, these models tend to decrease in price over the months, and last season’s versions are usually the most interesting in terms of quality/price ratio.
We believe it is a racket very well oriented towards technical players looking for balance, performance, and pure sensations in every point. It also fits with intermediate and advanced level players who value a versatile game, with enough control from the back and power to take charge when they step to the net or finish. Those who prioritize precision, stability, and good vibration absorption will find here a very serious set for competing and playing long matches comfortably. On the other hand, if you come from softer rackets and do not want to go through a small adjustment to the medium feel, it is likely not the easiest transition.
The Bullpadel Vertex 05 Hybrid 2026 has seemed to us to be an advanced, complete, and very well-resolved racket for those who want a hybrid with real power, solid control, and a more generous sweet spot than usual. It is not a soft racket nor a passive option, but if we have technique and seek a serious partner to compete in all areas of the court, it is one of those versions that leaves very good sensations from the first match.
